Monochromatic light makes us think more while reducing our colour experience to one frequency. Nevertheless, this single light wave (589nm) stimulates the grey matter which contains most of the brain’s neuronal cell bodies and includes regions of the brain involved in sensory perception such as seeing and hearing, memory, emotions, speech, decision making, and self-control.
